Position Title:MDS HelpDesk Technician
Position Description:
currently interviewing for MDS (Managed Desktop Services) HelpDesk Technicians to support our clients desktop systems. The technician will provide phone and remote controlled advanced troubleshooting in support of users on a WinXP platform in a Novell network environment. Must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Lotus Notes R5 client or higher. Must have working knowledge of Novell account administration, to include user objects, groups, workstation objects, and managing NDPS printer objects. Experience with the remote control functions of ZENWorks preferred. Must have experience troubleshooting WinXP workstations to include connectivity, profiles and configurations. Familiarity with MS Office XP/2003 suite desired.
Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
Bachelors Degree desired
Must have good customer service phone skills
Five years progressive Information Technology experience
At least two projects in technical areas
At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years
Novell NetWare 5.x or higher for troubleshooting
Novell ZenWorks application management desired
Lotus Notes client R5 or higher, R6 desired
Windows XP workstation configuration and troubleshooting
Remote access support
Blackberry installation, configuration and troubleshooting, desired
Must be available for 6AM to 3PM or 9AM to 6PM shift
Troubleshooting skills of network connectivity, Novell, Printing, and TCP-IP
Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment
Must be able to pass criminal and credit background checks (i.e., good credit, no bankruptcies, and no arrests)
Desired Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:
Develop required solutions for simple to complex problems.
Working knowledge of ZenWorks.
